Benelli’s parent company, QJ Motors, seems to be hard at work as its upcoming middleweight supersports bikes’ images have been leaked online. These are just rendered and the design is clearly in the early stages.
From the newly leaked visuals, the supersports has an uncanny resemblance to the (now-discontinued) Benelli Tornado 302R. It’s also labeled as the Tornado 650 in one of the images while in the second picture, there’s a streetfighter and another faired model with the label ‘TNT 550’ for both.
There’s no data about the engine or any of the other bits as the design itself is in the primary stage. Now, with that being said, Benelli has a history of using an inline four-cylinder motor in the TNT 600i but lately, it’s plonked 500cc parallel-twin mills in the ADV offerings.
So, it could out bore the existing 500cc motor to accommodate it in the Tornado 650 R. However, as of now all these bits can only be speculated until we see further development from QJ Motors.
