The Bultaco Matador 250 Enduro from the late 1960s underwent a major transformation, with the removal of the stock fenders, fiberglass tank, side covers, and seat, making way for a fresh start. A steel gas tank was built from scratch, resembling an old Yamaha TY175 tank, but with a modern twist.
The gas cap was retained from the original Bultaco unit, but an 11-piece sheet metal filler neck was formed to keep it intact. A flat seat pan was created, with minimal seat pads for short-term comfort..
A Puch moped lens was fitted into an aluminum number plate to create the headlight, illuminated by a Harbor Fright LED flashlight. The tail light was a Mini-Sparto, consisting of a bent 1" round tube with a red dash lens.
Danny formed the fenders from aluminum sheets, and machined the kicker lever, along with the impressive "Thumbs Up" snail adjusters. The enclosed chain cover, cylinder heads, and part of the case were drilled out, with additional aluminum heel guards and an exhaust heat shield for protection.
The handlebar was sourced from an old ATC trike, while the tires featured trials tread. The only engine modification was the fitting of a VM28 Mikuni carb and Uni filter, alongside a cylinder hone.
