Here’s an update.
So... I finally got the bike back from the shop. Of course, it wasn’t fixed right. Ended up bringing it back the next day and they supposedly fixed it (right this time) the day after that. So, I got it back and I was driving home and as I was taking off from a red light, it shit on me. Not even 10 miles from the shop. Couldn’t get it to start at all. Drained the battery completely trying to get her running again. Finally, I did a little self discovery in the middle of a Family Dollar parking lot. The spark plugs were wet as hell and not sparking consistently. Plus, it would only backfire when trying to start it. Prior to this (The whole reason why I brought it to the shop in the first place), it was backfiring under throttle. That then progressed into not taking any kind of throttle at all. In an effort to rectify that problem,I moved the little C clip on the big needle up (towards the diaphragm) one notch from where it was. It ran fine for a couple days after that and then started backfiring and then just wouldn’t start all together. Which is when I took it to the shop. Supposedly, they “rebuilt” the carb and tuned it properly. Once I got the bike back home and started tearing into it, I discovered that the carb had not been tuned or anything. As far as spark goes, I’ve got a new TCI and voltage rectifier coming in today. That should fix my spark and then it seems like it’s just a matter of getting the carb tuned again. I hope...
