Devils Tower and Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
Known for its starring role in the movie "Close Encounters of The Third Kind", Devils Tower is the country's first national monument.
Located in the northeast corner of Wyoming, the tower is a jaw-dropping geological feature that rises 867 feet above the rolling prairies. Contrary to popular belief, Devils Tower is not a volcano. Geologist say it's likely an igneous intrusion. That just means it formed underground from molten rock that was pushed through the surface and become solid.
All that to say, it's really big and very impressive. The summit is the size of a football field and the base is right at 800 feet wide.
So, come with us to the 81st Anniversary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this year. Devils Tower will be one of the many amazing sites you'll get to see.
