New Mash X-Ride 650 Scrambler is priced at 5,599 Euros

French motorcycle brand Mash has unveiled the company's latest scrambler, the Mash X-Ride 650. The X-Ride is a neo-retro scrambler which bears an uncanny resemblance to the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled. The X-Ride is powered by a 643.7 cc, single-cylinder engine which makes 40 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 45 Nm at 4,500 rpm, and gets a 5-speed gearbox. The Mash X-Ride's design inspiration is quite evident, with similar gold-finished wire spoke wheels, tall front mudguard, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and flat ribbed seat, down to the round headlamp.

The X-Ride gets 17-inch wheels, with single discs at both ends, with a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, and dry weight of 177 kg. There's a small engine bash plate as well, underscoring the scrambler's off-road capabilities, but the tall 870 mm seat height though will be a little difficult for riders of different stature to manage, and the fairly basic suspension is likely to limit true off-road ability. The 12-litre fuel tank will offer decent range, and at best the Mash X-Ride is an urban scrambler, which will have the capability to take on the rough occasionally.

Mash is a motorcycle and scooter brand headquartered in France, and originally founded in 1976. The company currently has more than 400 stores in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and other European countries. The company says it offers motorcycles with styling inspired from the 1970s. Mash offers a variety of two-wheelers ranging from 50 cc to 650 cc, and also offers a few scooters in its product line-up.
