The back route to Pai ...
The R1095 route to Pai in Northern Thailand is a famous 762 curvy twisty road that snakes its way up to the hippy town of Pai. Often riders will take this route when covering the full Mae Hong Son Loop ( MHS route guide: https://motogirlthailand.com/mae-hong-son-loop/)
However, in recent years the Wat Chan route to Pai became fully paved, creating a route to Pai that is quiet and more rural than the popular R1095. There are fewer coffee shops/eateries on this back route, but the ride is fantastic. The loop is fun for an overnight ride to Pai (or a day ride if you feel like it!) or as an alternative ride to or from the Mae Hong Son loop.
