Tiger Cub Front Brakes
Removing the front wheel was easy enough. However I later realised you need to loosen the brake plate securing nut before taking the wheel off otherwise the spindle just rotates. Removing the shoes was a pain, in the end I tapped the cam out, damaging the nipple on the end of it. Not the way the manual advises but I couldn't find my Haynes. The brake plate cleaned up nicely, it had been heavily chromed, apparently this was only for the American market. I cleaned the cam, including its internal grease channel.
As I plan to be racing Black Tiger on the beach I chose grooved shoes normally utilised for trials bikes, these I bought from FEKED.COM. As with the shoe removal the fitting proved near impossible. In the end I made a tool to pull the springs into p
