I had a chance to film that pesty stepper motor influencing the idle on my bike
Started up ok, but after touching the throttle the idle would shoot up to 4000rpm. Turns out after checking the TPS it had somehow come out of adjustment. Pretty common. Getting it back to .59, lubricate and reset adaptations set it right.
Now on my other 990SD I was never able to fix the crazy stepper problem, even with a new TPS, so years ago, I detached the little screw in the video that connects the moving post to the butterfly shaft, and it has ran perfectly for many years. Keep in mind I do not really need the cold start function here in the warm tropics
