Recommendation Beginner Riders
My Message to Beginners:
I am by no means an expert at riding......Beginners can start on a 600cc, but it will take a much longer time for you to learn on a 600 than a 250 or 300. My recommendation for beginners is to get a feel for both supersport and beginner bikes before making a decision. Don't let others decide what you want...... They are not buying the bike for you..... Just keep in mind that you must respect the machine.... I CANNOT stress that enough for any bike 125cc - 1400cc. If you currently have a record of speeding, reckless driving etc, then a 600cc+ bike is not for you. NO OFFENSE to those with a bad record. For my younger guys and gals (25 and under) looking for a supersport as a first bike, insurance will literally drain your wallet. This is how i got my rate for my bike (Full Coverage) under 1k per year. I had my father added to my insurance plan as a secondary rider on the bike. Basically saying the bike being shared between my father and I. My father DOES NOT have a motorcycle license, permit, and has not taken the MSF. NON PROMOTIONAL: I have State Farm Insurance, and an agent told me that my father did not need a license, permit or certification to be added to the insurance. So my rate went from 3.5k per year to a little under 700 dollars. Ask your parent/guardian if they are willing be on your insurance. If possible, take the MSF course or whatever motorcycle course you have in your area. You can get a slight discount on your insurance. Make sure you get some proper gear, don't ride with your CE Rated flip flops, tank tops, and shorts :) Safe riding guys........
Veteran Riders.... if im leaving anything out or giving poor recommendations please comment. Thank You
