Harley-Davidson Sport Glide returns after 25 years of absence!

At the recently launched EICMA-2017, the newest model of the Softail family - Harley-Davidson Sport Glide - was announced. According to the idea of ​​developers it is a sports motorcycle, ready to small prompt trips. Therefore, a small fairing and seatbags are in the list of staff equipment. Let's see what else is interesting there.

Personally, I thought that the Sport Glide was a direct descendant of the deceased model Dyna Swithchback. The same quick-detachable "touring" parts, the same 2 in 1 release and the improved front suspension, the same minimal choice of colors (black, burgundy, silver), even badges on the tank - one in one from Swithcback. But now the fork is a "flip-flop". I hope we will see it on Harley-Davidson motorcycles more and more often.

From a technical point of view, we have a standard Softtech of the second generation, a 107cc Milwaukee 8 engine, a rear mono-shock, all the same technological details - a USB and a Deimeyker LED light, angles of inclination similar to the co-platform.
What concerns the price, the motorcycle is the second from the top in the family and costs $ 18599. Considering that it is the best equipped of all the Softails, this is an interesting proposal.

It was really disappointing, that there is only one front brake. A release system doesn't seem to be very attractive, and it's a bit unusual for Harley fans. The same can be said about the design of wheels. But maybe, I will adjust myself to their appearance. As in the case of Swithcback, the idea is interesting, but we'll see the result on its sales. I hope, they will be great. The company really needs it.
