Procedure VFR800(A8) SEQUENTIAL INDICATORS

What you need

1) LED Indicator Flasher Relay For Honda VFR 800 2002-2009 Fast Flash Fix

2) 2x15CM Car Rearview Mirror 28LED Strip Light Flowing Turn Signal Side Lamp Amber

3) The following LED base is used to fit in the led’s on the rear light indicators. It must 3d printed with TPU transparent material.

Procedure

Remove the seat. Remove the rear plastic part with the lights as an assembly. Do not separate them, it doesn’t need to do so. Remove the plugs from the bulb indicators. Throw away the bulbs

The design is for the bigger plugs. The old plugs were smaller so you need to adapt the design before you print the LED base.

Please notice the design below. The flat surface should be on top, the angled one, at the bottom.

Take the LED strip and cut it at the mark shown below:

Route the wires as shown below

When you strip the wires, guide them a couple of times through the holes shown below to have enough conductivity when you put the plugs.

To install

To check the polarity put the plug and turn on the indicator to see if LED’s are working correctly.

You must bent the LED base as shown below to be able to pass through the indicator’s hole. The No 1 first and then the No 2 is following. Use a metallic wire or an Allen to move it to position when the base is inside the indicator’s light.

The hole on the circle below is used to grab the base and move it out of the indicator’s hole to be able to put the plug. When you put the plug, remove the Allen, rotate the plug to fit to the appropriate place.
