Cylinder Head
On my first attempt to install the head I busted a bolt. The original ones were stretched and brittle. On the advice of a friend I bit the bullet and ordered new OEM bolts. This set me back about 2 weeks.
The shop foreman at the car dealership where I work was very helpful. He did a lot of work to the head and refused to take payment. I bought a pizza lunch for his crew. He installed new valve springs, shims, seals, keepers.
He also eyebrowed the edge of the combustion dome, cleaned up all the carbon deposits, and...
Smoothed out the ports. He happens to be an ex-racer and expert race engine builder for VMAX drag bikes and all sorts of other on and off-road motorcycles
