Time for annual winter maintenance.
Prepped the recently acquired ST4s abs for dropoff on Tuesday to get an overdue major service and as well as transfer over some parts from my prior ST4s with the bad motor.
I always remove the bodywork myself before a major service. While it is in the shop I thoroughly clean each piece and apply F11 Topcoat. In addition, I've learned over the years that a lot of owners/techs overtighten the bodywork bolts, leading to corrosion on the exposed bolt tips and often stripping the well nut inside the rubber. Someone definitely overtighened the bodywork on this bike and I'll be replacing a lot of well nuts and bolts when I get it back from the shop.
