Dual Disk Fork Lowers Conversion

For anyone interested i wanted to share my process of converting what i believe are shovelhead fork lowers to dual disk for my HD project.

I got them on facebook marketplace thinking they would plug and play…that was definitely not the case. But i love a good challenge so i decided to go for it.

The mounting tabs for the calipers were quite offset so i had to chop the top one off and weld it back on properly aligned to accept the extension tab i also made in order to run 13” rotors.

Everything i do in my garage by hand to the best of my abilities so while it is not perfect i do believe everything will work just fine in the end here are some photos showing my process,
