The rumors are true. Triumph company become the official and sole supplier of engines in the Moto2 world championship, starting in 2019. The British company signed 3-year contract with "Dorna Sports" and will supply 765-boiler 3-cylinder engines developed on the basis of units Triumph Street Triple 2017.

Triumph company has not yet reported the exact performance characteristics of the engines for Moto2. Road version 3-cylinder engine produces 123 HP at 11 700 rpm and 77 Nm at 10 800 rpm. Can be assumed that a racing engine will produce 160-170 HP
