The hosts of the Italian auction house Ruote da Sogno are planning to get about €150,000 for MV Agusta 750 Sport motorcycle.
The vehicle of 1972 is in a collection condition and will be a great addition to any respectable collection of motorcycles.
This model is considered to be quite rare. It was produced by the Italian brand since 1970 to 1975, and just over six hundred copies were made. The normal price for similar bikes in good condition is €100,000-200,000. It will be clear a bit later whether it’s possible to sell this particular model for €150,000.MV Agusta is a well-known Italian motorcycle maker. The company was founded in 1945, after the Second World War, as an offshoot of the Agusta aviation company formed by Count Giovanni Agusta in 1923. In the 1940-1970s, MV Agusta motorcycles were actively and successfully involved into various competitions, winning hundreds of races and dozens of world championships. Then, in the 1970s, the MV Agusta brand lost its guiding force and almost disappeared. In 1992 MV Agusta was reborn, when a motorcycle businessman Claudio Castiglioni and a new designer Massimo Tamburini created a superbike F4, and for example, the Spanish King Juan Carlos had owned it.In the last decade the brand had serious financial problems and changed a number of owners, including Harley-Davidson and Malaysian car maker Proton. In 2010, the MV Agusta brand was bought again by the same Castiglioni, shortly before he died. After that, his son became the head of the company. The staff has a total of 300 members, its headquarters is located on Lake Varese in northern Italy. The brand produces 3-and 4-cylinder models of motorcycles with 675 – 1100 cc engines.
