Honda has notified the Japanese Ministry of Land,Infrastructure and Transportation about the problems with ABS found in six models, including the CBR250 RR, CB1300 Super Four, CB1300 Super BOL’DOR, NM 4, VFR800X, VFR800 F, issued from October 30 to 24 December 2018.

The models have an irregularly shaped clamp in the ABS modulator. It may come into contact with a non-return valve and cause the front or rear wheel to be locked. The service centers will replace the ABS modulator.

The main issue concerns the CBR250RR model, produced since 6 to 28 November 2018 (MC 51-1200321 - MC 51-1200760). According to some data, there are 277 units of the CBR250RR model with ABS issues to be replaced.

Currently, there were no road incidents or failures for that reason. Business partners reported Honda on the issue. The recall was posted on Honda's official website in Japan on February 7, 2019. However, in Indonesia, which in fact is a production base for the CBR250RR, there have been no similar announcements.
