When Fernando got this GSX-R, he was unpleasantly surprised. Instead of giving up, he wanted to solve the issue.

The owner of this motorcyclec on fesses that he was disappointed when he bought the bike. He was expecting a super vehicle, but instead he got a heavy motorcycle, over 260 kg (573lbs), and slow reactions. So he decided to change that.

The current owner of the bike had been riding different motorcycles, but in 2004 he decided to find a motorcycle that would differentiate him from the rest and allow him to move quickly down the street, but without being too extreme.

So he found a 1993 Suzuki GSX-R1100, the first to feature liquid cooling and powerful Tokico six-piston calipers, which were perfect and attracted a lot of attention in his time. But soon he realized that he made a mistake, as it was more touring version, than the sportbike. That motorcycle was long, unstable and too heavy. So he started working on reducing the mass and managed to cut 55 kg and gain about 15hp to increase its maximum power to 165 CV verified.

He also modernized its appearance, using a 2002 GSX-R1000 fairing and Ducati 999 front headlights. It also received a carbon fiber front fender and FAR mirrors with built-in turn signals, redesigned rear tail section, similar to the MV Agusta F4 shapes and a license plate holder with indicators from 2004 Honda CBR1000RR. And the truth is that, without a doubt, the change is shocking!

The engine was also updated with Yoshimura cams, DYNA 2000 controller, increased compression, Akrapovic exhaust system, K&N filters and Airtech Streamline fiberglass air box.

Let’s move down. Here we’ll find Dymag magnesium alloy wheels and Motomaster disc brakes, with 19 mm PFM radial pump and Goodridge hoses. An Öhlins shock was mounted, plus the fork was tested. That’s how this GSX-R1100W changed its appearance, keeping good abilities on the highway. A huge work was done by César García, Pinturas Sirgado, Logomanía, Extreme Motos and Llop teams.
