Suzuki SV650 is an interesting motorcycle for not too much money. It offers a great balance of performance and handling. But no one wants to buy it for its appearance – there is nothing special about it. The Romanian couple Alf and Mihaela from the Bandisca workshop rebuilt the 2001 Suzuki SV650 into retro-fabulous endurance racer.

Ralph did not really want to start this project, as he was not sure of its rationality, but the end result did not disappoint him. It actually took them a few months to decide on a direction and a custom’s style. The couple was inspired by the 1990 Suzuki GSX-R750.So they started with a 90s GSXR replica fairing from Airtech Streamlining,which had to be modified heavily to match the SV’s frame.

The subframe and aluminum tail piece were made in-house,and then matched to a Honda NTV fuel tank. But the process of putting everything together was tough. They had to wrack their brains and make all the necessary fixing. Alf and Mihaela wanted to make sure the SV would go as good as it looks too, so they rebuilt a full engine. They upgraded cams,tuned carbs, a performance clutch, etc.

The custom exhaust headers terminate in a Spark muffler.The motorcycle is also equipped with Showa forks, a custom YSS shock,Motogadgetm.unit control unit.
