Super Duke R is one the most aggressive naked motorcycles around the world. If the regular Duke 200 is such sporty, imagine the level in the Super Duke. The 2020 version will be a major facelift, and we can see it at the 2019 EICMA.

As we see, the fuel tank and the tank shrouds have been revised, for a sportier look. The headlamp is taken from the previous-generation itself. The alloy wheels also sport a new design.

Mechanical changes onboard will include revisions to the swingarm and trellis frame. The heavily reworked trellis frame indicates that there might be some changes to the engine as well.

Along with the same single-sided swing arm suspension, the spied KTM 1290 Super Duke R gets a new multi-link rear monoshock. The updated chassis will improve its handling even better.

The digital instrument console is also new, which will show more information and connectivity features. This will conclude the mechanical changes on the naked bike.

It will continue with the 1301cc V-Twin liquid-cooled engine, that delivers 177 BHP and 141 Nm of peak torque. The engine figures might be revamped by a small margin, especially with the inclusion of Euro-V compliant engine.

The suspension will be handled by WP 48mm fully-adjustable USD forks at the front and new multi-link shock at the back. 320mm Brembo dual discs at the front and a 240mm disc at the back will provide the braking power.

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R might be seen at the 2019 EICMA, in November. It will go against the likes of Aprilia Tuono V4, Kawasaki Z1000 and the upcoming Ducati V4 Street Fighter.
