Transforming Yamaha Viragos into one-off bobbers is an extremely common practice. And while countless shops and builders have churned out bobbed XV projects, very few have achieved results anywhere near as spectacular as Poland’s Moose Motodesign, with its pair of matching Virago bobbers from 2019. Shop head honcho, Tom Moose, however, has spent the last year scrutinizing his 2019 designs, steadily tweaking the already-impressive dual-build project to create an even more-refined pair of XV920 bobbers.
Not unlike last year’s bikes, the 2020 iterations are constructed around a pair of early 1980s Yamaha Viragos and sport an absolutely gorgeous tractor-style seat design – with bespoke carbon shop badges – that’s set on chromed subframes with integrated underside LED light strips. In place of the XV’s factory suspenders are inverted Ninja ZX-6R forks and Sachs mono-shocks. The tanks now sport a combination of polished metal and exposed carbon fiber, and Motogadget Motoscope Mini displays set flush in custom top triples, alongside new clip-ons, Rizoma reservoirs, and top-shelf switchgear. The icing on the cake, however, is the builds’ new exhaust setup: a two-into-one-into-two arrangement ending in an immaculate under-tail dual-pipe with internal “X” reinforcements.
