Furion Motorcycles is an unknown French manufacturer in the world of motorcycles. Furion first entered the scene two years ago, presenting what was then a concept that could be manufactured, but now it is more serious and has presented the Furion M1. It is the first plug-in hybrid motorcycle on the market, which uses a combustion engine and an electric motor to combine benefits with consumption and contained emissions.

The Furion M1 is made on the basis of a Yamaha YZF-R6 due to the "interesting connection" that exists between both manufacturers. This French hybrid motorcycle combines a Yamaha gasoline block, with 750 cc of displacement, in combination with an electric motor that, for environmental reasons, does not carry neodymium magnets.

Thanks to the combination of both propellers, the power of the motorcycle increases from 120 to 175 hp and 160 Nm. With these credentials, the 210 kg in dry weight of the motorcycle can be moved at a top speed of up to 245 km/h , and even 280km/h with an efficient fairing.

Furion works in 2 configurations for the battery: 2,4 and 3 kWh capacity, both of iron and lithium phosphate (since this combination does not need rare elements), and enough to travel about 30 km in electric mode.

Exhibited at the opening of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Motorcycles, in April 2018, the Furion M1 demonstrated to the spectators present the interesting boost effect allowed by the electric motor.

According to the Furion Motorcycles roadmap, the M1 would be available in 2021, for an estimated price of 30,000 euros.
