The “package” of electronic systems with which the Ducati Streetfighter V2 2022 it is rich and identical to that of the Panigale V2. In support of the pilot are present: ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control and three delivery maps. These systems exploit, among others, the information provided by a six-axis inertial platform. They are adjustable and are coordinated by three driving modes (Sport, Road, Wet) which, by combining the various intervention parameters in a different way, define a more sporty or safety-conscious driving.

ABS has three intervention thresholds. Level 3 is the most “safe” and avoids lifting the rear wheel. Level 2 allows the rear wheel to be raised and has a slide by brake operating logic: by performing intense braking (deceleration equal to or greater than 0.7 G) it is possible to lock the rear wheel to oversteer when entering a bend. In this case, the ABS manages both the maximum yaw angle, which varies according to the lean angle (it is reduced as the inclination of the motorcycle increases), and the speed at which the rear axle oversteers, reducing it in the case of excessive. In the context of road driving, we believe that a rider who uses the rear brake a lot to set the trajectory may not appreciate the operating logic of this mode. The presence of an activation threshold means that there is no certainty about oversteer: it happens that in a corner entry the rear brake offers the required deceleration and that, in the following one, it instead triggers locking, reducing the contribution of the rear tire to the deceleration with effect on the trajectory. Level 1 is the most “racing”. It has no cornering logic and provides the anti-lock function on the front wheel only. By default it is not associated with any riding mode, which however are customizable. The traction control is adjustable on eight levels of intervention, that of the wheelie on four; both can be deactivated.

The engine brake control allows you to vary the intensity of deceleration offered by the closed gas engine on three levels. Power Mapping: The High provides full power and direct throttle response, the Medium full power and smooth throttle response and the Low power reduced to 110PS and smooth throttle response. The interaction with the various functions passes through the 4.3 ”TFT display, not very large but graphically ordered and intuitive in navigation. Through an optional module (245 euros) it can be connected to the smartphone via bluetooth to manage calls, music, messages.
