Kawasaki has announced the launch of the new yearly updated 2023 Ninja ZX-10R. The new motorcycle has been introduced in a single variant and two colour options - Pearl Robotic White and the company's iconic Lime Green option. Both the colour options use different graphics across the body.

Save for the colour options update, no other major change has been introduced on the bike. While there are updates on the styling, the design remains the same. The bike marches on with the same twin-pod headlight at the front and winglets added into the upper cowl. Other aesthetic highlights include the use of rear-view-mirror mounted front turn indicators, a full-fairing, and a side-slung exhaust. The bike has also carried over the same features list including full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled colour-TFT display.

At the heart of the litre-class sportsbike continues to sit the same BS 6-compliant 998cc, inline-four cylinder, liquid-cooed engine. This powertrain comes mated to a 6-speed transmission and delivers 200bhp at 13,200rpm and 114.9Nm of peak torque at 11,400rpm. The engine delivers a higher 210bhp at 13,200rpm with RAM Air intake. Some of the key electronic aids on the motorcycle include multiple riding modes, traction control, ABS and electronic cruise control.

The Kawasaki ZX-10R competes against motorcycles such as Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, Ducati Panigale V4 and BMW S1000RR.

Meanwhile, the company has recently showcased near-production versions of electric/hybrid bikes at Japan’s legendary Suzuka Circuit. The bikemaker showcased an electric bike featuring Z-range styling with the company's electric-only motor, while the other model featured Ninja-range styling with the hybrid EV (HEV) technology.
