Supercharged Triumph Rocket 3

If you’re a regular here (and thank you if you are), you know how much we adore TTS Performance’s supercharged creations and its mastery in supercharging Harley-Davidsons and Suzuki Hayabusas. However, TTS founder Richard Albans loves new challenges, so this time, the company has supercharged an already-rampant Triumph Rocket 3 which, as a result, puts out over 340 horsepower.

Like all TTS projects, there’s a lot going on here besides the supercharger. The team has CNC’ed a bespoke case from billet, and it blends to perfection behind the motorcycle’s radiator, so much so, you might even mistake this for a normal Rocket 3. Of course, the ear-deafening exhaust note will eventually give away the supercharged nature, but the point is how tightly wound everything looks. The cover houses all the essentials and supplies air to the stock air filter via trick-looking carbon fiber ducts. Interestingly, there’s no intercooler here, so the supercharger cycle is considerably shorter here.

Like the filter, the engine internals - pistons, camshaft, throttle body - have been left as is, so there is scope to extract more power. You won’t need those upgrades, though, because the Rocket 3 now belts out 342 horsepower and 270 pound-feet just with the supercharger kit. For reference, the stock motorcycle gushes out a claimed 165 horsepower and 163 pound-feet. TTS Performance even predicts it’ll breach the 180mph mark in a straight line - if you have the guts to hold on. The Rocket 3 already managed 165mph in the fifth gear (on the dyno), so we can’t do anything but believe TTS’ claim.

If you like what you see (don’t forget to check out the full video), you’ll be happy to know TTS’ supercharger kit for the Rocket 3 is up for grabs. TTS is yet to announce the pricing, but you can head to its website to put in an early order. The team has already sold ten such Rocket 3s and only five more will be commissioned, so we’d suggest you hurry up. Of course, if you’re reading this from the States, you’ll have to source the kit from the UK, buy yourself a Rocket 3 (new ones sell from $23,400), and get it put on from a trusted mechanic. A bit of a tedious task, but hey, we can guarantee it’ll be worth it!
