Updated Toure Enduro KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2021
Austrian manufacturer KTM has announced an improved Toure Enduro KTM 1290 Super Adventure R 2021, which is more focused on off-road compared to the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S 2021.
To begin with, I wanted to note the changes in ergonomics. The new fairing made it possible to shift the fuel tank closer to the center of gravity of the motorcycle. The fuel tank itself consists of three parts and holds 23 liters of gasoline. Also, KTM engineers lightened the lattice pendulum, while the steering column was shifted to the side of the motorcyclist by 15 mm. According to KTM, such changes have improved off-road handling.
The suspension provides WP components. The XPLOR fork with a 220 mm stroke is installed in the front, and the PDS shock absorber is installed in the rear. All components are fully adjustable. Of course, the front wheel is 21 inches in diameter, which is optimal for off-road driving.
Other updates:
•7-inch LCD instrument panel in a new design
redesigned switches
•The 1301 cc LC8 engine is tuned to Euro5 and is lighter at about 1.4 kg thanks to thinner covers, improvements in cooling channels
•power of 160 hp
•torque of 137 Nm
•upgraded oil-water cooling system (both new radiators work in tandem with a redesigned body kit to more effectively remove heat from the rider's feet)
•six-axis IMU system for controlling track control and angular ABS, and also helps to adjust the engine braking system, control the course stability of the motorcycle, turn on the off-road ABS
