Adventure Tourer Aprilia Tuareg 660 2022
New “Tuareg 660,” this high-performance adventure motorcycle takes aim squarely at Yamaha’s popular Teneré 700 model, and as such boasts a host of off-road-focused features and amenities including a retuned version of the 659cc twin that’s been massaged to achieve greater low and mid-range power. Putting down 78.9hp and 51.6ft-lbs of torque, the engine also sports four different ride modes, one of which is a customizable off-road map. Constructed around an all-new tubular steel chassis, the Tuareg features a 43mm USD fork and a progressive linkage rear shock that both afford 9.44” of travel, and is slowed via switchable ABS-equipped Brembo brakes. The Tuareg also wears a full skid plate, spoked wheels, an MX-style high-mount exhaust, and minimalistic bodywork with a Dakar-style windscreen, a navigation tower (with a 5” TFT display), radiator shrouds, and LED lighting throughout.
