Does anyone know what these black spots are?

Whenever come back from a long ride, I see a couple of these black spots on my helmet/ motorcycle. They are sticky like grease and can be wiped off with a cloth.

    Chain lube. It flings up from your chain and lands on your bike, your clothes and your helmet.
