8 Motorcycle Hacks in 90 Seconds - ish

These are the 8 Motorcycle Hacks I've found most useful in my time on a motorbike. They're by no means the definitive list so if you have more, leave them in the comments below!

Motorcycle Hacks Description:

1. Sandwich or Self-Seal Bags - https://goo.gl/WXdVyV

Put your phone, cash, passport or other important documentation in one of these and they won't be damaged if you get caught out in a rain shower.

2. Merino Wool Base Layers - https://goo.gl/3F98CZ

These tops are fantastic, they wick away sweat keeping you cool and dry in the heat, but insulate to keep you warm in the cold. PLUS, as they are naturally anti-bacterial, they all stay fresh meaning you can get up to 3 days full use out of just one top!

3. Cheap Throw-Away T-Shirts - https://goo.gl/cwJdg6 (or discount stores like Primark etc)

We will normally buy one for each day of riding, then wear the night before when out for dinner, ride in it the next day, then once you get to each nights destination, we use it to give the bikes a quick wipe down then throw them away. You've got a clean shirt to ride in each day, your bike stays looking great, and your luggage gets lighter and lighter as your trip progresses - Winner!

4. Lightweight Zip-Down Trousers - https://goo.gl/upPqvD

These are awesome, I took these on my RTW trip. Not only are they incredibly light weight, rolling down small to pack away into your luggage, but they also dry really quickly and even zip down into shorts if you want to catch some rays!

5. Travel Adaptor & Extension Lead - https://goo.gl/EAHMrk

Often when you get to hotels there is only one power socket, but I have my phone, laptop, cameras, drone, watch etc all to recharge. So I now always have an extension lead and a travel adaptor with me, meaning I can charge multiple devices all off one socket. Job Done!

6. AirPro Motorcycle Tyre Plugging Kit - https://goo.gl/c4fjvv

Awesome. Just awesome. I've ridden from Jakarta to Darwin on a tyre that's been plugged with this kit, as well as done track days and countless miles. Incredibly easy to use, they store under your seat for maximum practicality and only take 20 minutes to get you back up and riding. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT ONE!

7. Bungee Chords & Net - https://goo.gl/4wLmEK

Another invaluable piece of kit to have stashed away in your rucksack or bag. These are so versatile they can be used for almost anything! IF you're away on your bike and can't resist that impulse buy, or someones surprises you with that 'Top Gear' pressie, then you can easily strap it to your bike and get it back home safely. The addition of the bungee cargo net adds even more versatility. I used one to strap my tent across the front of my GSX-R when traveling around the world, it never failed me, even at over 150mph over the mountain section of the TT!

8. Clothes Pegs - https://goo.gl/xQ5TNn

Yes you read that right. If you're camping wild on your bike and start to whiff a bit, once you've washed your clothes in the lake or river, stretch a bungee chord between your bike and a tree, then peg out your washing to dry on your ready made clothes line! Sounds ridiculous, but it works. I've always got 2 clipped onto my bungee net for Justin!
