Brakes serviced and done.... I think
So, in lockdown I decided I know, I'll sort and clean the brakes..
Little did I know that it would rake three blasts of a blow torch and plenty of man power to grt the bolts out, then behind the pistons looked like gel of some sort.
So a new kit ordered, new seals and polished up pistons.
Now it's on the bike time to bleed the system up to Pressure .. Nightmare!
Ended up snapped a bleed nipple ?♂️ so I'm gonna use a screw extractor to remove at some point and replace and it's taken ages to get the pressure right on the brakes.
Mainly due to my own fault as I didn't realise the rear brake has two bleed nipples! Who knew ?♂️.
Any who, finally I think she's there and ready to get on the road again.
Really want to get her all cleaned up and jet washed but scared ill damage the electrics or something else.
Been a right mission while in lockdown but hopefully I have some stopping power now. All part of learning!
Stay safe all
??
Pics are brake calipers before service! They were awful
