Chain life

The one thing I would change about this bike would be the chain drive. My Moto Guzzi Stelvio has a shaft drive, like BMW big bores, and this makes for a smoother ride less maintenance and is stronger too. Reading about BMW's patented M Endurance maintenance free chain is interesting. I wonder how long it will take for DiD and others to come up with alternative coatings on the rollers?
