A table fork saves the day.
When the last two screws holding the headlamp to the front fairing won't come out. WD40 doesn't loosen them. Screwdriver eats off the screw head. A gripper turns them but they still won't come out.
In the end I slid a fork between the plastic and the headlamp washer and the suckers came out fairly quickly. Turns out the thread held fast and the metal sleeve got detached from the plastic fairing.
