The loud open air filter
Not sure if I'll be tarred and feathered or possibly revered, but this is my solution for the loud open air filter. There is a noticeable difference in noise just putting the plate on and off the top of the filter. I can always reverse it. I just peeled the foam filter top off, cut some 1/4" starboard (or any plastic or cutting board) and then glued that in. I have the extra filter top too. I might go back to the stock air box someday but for now I like the ease of maintenance, and extra storage. I also disconnected the lock for the glove box lid so I can just set it aside with the quick connect. I didn't like it dangling there while working and never lock it anyway.
