Fairly long ride today, 280 miles

(about 3,000 meters)...

Rode through a few wet areas, but always just after a storm had blown through. Crossed over three summits of about 8,000 feet along the way....

Two magnificent castles, full of history: A royal residence since Louis VI in the 12th century, Saint Germain saw the birth of 3 kings: Henry II, Charles IX and finally Louis XIV and also Marguerite...

Great ride with great friends. 279 miles with what we call the loop here in So. Cal. It didn't record the last 40 miles....

A lovely day for a ride. A quick stop at Hawkins Lookout and then down to the Webb's Creek Ferry to St Albans for a coffee at the Settlers Arms Inn, then (due to bad planning) a 20km trip along a good...
