Today a little ride in the west of Paris, towards Saint Germain en Laye and Maisons-Laffitte.

Two magnificent castles, full of history:

A royal residence since Louis VI in the 12th century, Saint Germain saw the birth of 3 kings: Henry II, Charles IX and finally Louis XIV and also Marguerite de Valois, aka Queen Margot. It now houses the archaeology museum.
Several styles characterize this castle, as the work is carried out: a Gothic chapel, a Renaissance palace.
Napoleon will restore it.
