MV Agusta is ready to please fans of Italian sportbikes with its limited-edition 2018 F4 RC superbike. The RC here stands for Reparto Corse, which can be estimated as appreciation to Leon Camier, the MV’s rider in the World Superbike championship.81835559de51f0e0020.jpg

The F4 RC is dressed in colors and graphics like those of the factory superbike. The number 37 on its fairing means the number of world titles MV Agusta has amounted over its history.

Engine

The technical base of the MV Agusta F4 RC uses a hot-rodded version of the Corsa Corta inline four-cylinder engine (bore 79 mm, stroke 50.9 mm) with central distribution chain and radial valves, purported to produce 205 horsepower (151 kW). A dedicated kit, including a race-spec ECU and titanium exhaust system, adds a further 7 hp and gives the total output of 212 hp (158 kW).

Electronics

The F4 RC is fitted with a high-end electronics package, which is optimized to obtain the best possible performance on both road and track. Among many customization options, a rider can adjust throttle sensitivity, engine braking, engine response, rev limiter and maximum torque, giving riders the maximum impact of the motorcycle whatever the riding conditions. The F4 RC platform has also three gyroscopes, three accelerometers and a lean angle sensor to inform the ECU of the bike’s dynamic attitudes. Electronically assisted shifting up and down is made possible by MV’s EAS 2.0.

Frame and suspension

The bike has a steel tube trellis frame, which also uses aluminium alloy plates that provide an adjustable swingarm pivot for ride height adjustability. The suspension offers unparalleled efficiency and quality: the 2018 MV Agusta F4 RC gets a NIX 30 USD Öhlins fork at the front and Öhlins TTX 36 monoshock at the back, with both ends being fully adjustable for compression and rebound damping, as well as preload.

Brakes

In terms of braking power, the F4 RC is handled by Brembo 4-piston radial-mount monobloc calipers. It has twin 320 mm brake discs up front with steel braking rotor and aluminium flange, and single 210 mm disc at the back. The handlebar control activates a radial pump. Bosch 9 Plus ABS, with rear wheel lift-up mitigation (RLM) system completes the package.43512059de52155b19f.jpg

The exclusive F4 RC formula makes ample use of high quality materials, and as a result – an excellent performance and low weight. The bike features extensive use of carbon fibre for the main parts of the fairing. It is made for weight reduction. MV Agusta have added an optional package that promises more power and a more exclusive ride experience in general. This special kit comes delivered in a polished wooden box, and contains some rather exquisite goods: the SC-Project full titanium single exit exhaust for optimum performance, a modified ECU, carbon fiber heat shields, a single seat tail cowl, a rapid release fuel cap, a selection of lightweight part options, and more. A customized bike cover and certificate of origin, which confirms the authenticity and number of the product, complete the kit.65865159de521e02b8b.jpg15410159de522772646.jpg38439259de522fc782d.jpg24311059de523ae6594.jpg79836959de524261da5.jpg81457459de524a16d88.jpg20140159de5250af6bc.jpg31131159de525bb2d6d.jpg
