Any motorcycle is almost always character, and not only the character of the bike, but also the character and interests of its owner. This luxury 2018 Triumph Thruxton R motorcycle, owned by the motor enthusiast Glen, is not an exception. He is also the head of a major Indonesian construction company.
In his spare time, Glen collects cars and motorcycles. He rides fast racing bikes, not avoiding off-road and even has experience in piloting the Moto3 prototype.
“I love everything that has wheels and an internal combustion engine,” Glen said.
The idea of personification and customization of the motorcycle was born spontaneously, Glen wanted the bike to be like his Rolex watch. As a result, the new custom body kit from the Spanish brand Tamarit was painted in green, just like the dial of the Glen’s watch. The color is very reminiscent in its style of the original hard candy colors with pearly sprinkling, which is often used by Harley Davidson. Due to the structure of the paint, the motorcycle literally shines like the emerald on a bright sunny day. The gold leaf was added to this green color, and this leaf is really huge, so to speak. The leaf can be seen not only on the tank and the front fairing, but also at the rear. The gold leaf acquired the original shagreen, which is noticeable upon careful visual inspection, after special polishing. A change from noble metal to green metallic is underlined by the white edging of all the gold elements. The manufacturer's logo, as well as the tank cap, is coated with gloss black paint.
As you know, the appetite comes with eating, therefore, in addition to the color design of the new body kit, the bike received American Cone Engineering exhaust system, the front fairing from the Italian Rizoma and LSL footsteps.
It’s unknown, how much money Glen had spent on the modification of the new Thruxton, but he admits that often jokingly names this bike a “dollar bill” with his dad.
