The Japanese manufacturer of motorcycles is well prepared for the upcoming season of 2020 and introduced many new motorbikes. In addition to two-wheeled equipment, updates received a line of ATVs and jet skis of the cult brand.

Despite the many mastered directions in creating equipment for land and water, the KAWASAKI brand is associated primarily with motorcycles, representing the quintessence of power and manufacturability in each of the models.

The concept of the hyper-sports motorcycle Kawasaki ZZR 1400 (ZX-14R) was first introduced in 2005 at the Tokyo Motor Show and went into mass production since 2006. The model replaced the Kawasaki ZX-12R and Kawasaki ZZR 1200, aiming to introduce to the market the fastest production motorcycle in the world and bypassing the legendary Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa. And now the company has announced that it intends to close the production of this model after 16 years.

Kawasaki ZZR1400 (ZX-14R) belonged to a new, for that time, class of hyper sports motorcycles: models in a plastic body kit, with the most voluminous and powerful engine, running system and characteristics for fast movement in a straight line. The Kawasaki ZZ-R 1400 was based on a specially developed engine with a volume of 1352 cm³, which produces up to 190 hp on the first modifications. Subsequently, the maximum power was increased to 200 hp, and with the running system of inertial pressurization (Ram-Air), this figure increased to 210 hp. 2012 was marked by a major restyling of the Kawasaki ZZR1400 (ZX-14R) model. The motorcycle receives a new engine of increased volume (1441 cm³), which besides received polished channels of HBC, camshafts with a higher lift, new lightweight pistons, reinforced connecting rods, crankshaft, tensioner, timing chain, gearbox elements. The model also receives a new exhaust system, 3-level traction control Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) and a new ignition (all taken from the Kawasaki ZX-10R), slipping clutch and a second radiator fan. The internal components of the rear suspension are changing.

Sports and tourist KAWASAKI ZZR1400 in the 2020 model range remained unchanged in technical terms, but received a spectacular update of the image in the form of a new color scheme Metallic Diablo Black / Golden Blazed Green, in which the deep black color is shaded by branded green graphics. The 2020 special version of the KAWASAKI ZZR1400 PS (Performance Sport) in addition to the stylish colors will receive a golden silencer from Akrapovič.

But, according to Michael Neeves, this bike is cramped and surprisingly heavy on the wrists. The brakes have never been all this either, especially when asked to transport him an important one. Based on the words of the developer, soon, we should expect another improved model of a motorcycle. And the Kawasaki ZZR1400 model, despite the update, is still gradually going out of fashion.
