Honda Thailand just officially announced the all-new Honda GROM / MSX. The new Honda Grom gets updated design, frame and a new engine! Here is everything you need to know!

2021 Honda Grom Specification

To start off with the design of the bike, the new Honda Grom features an all-new design and boy, it looks tasteful. Everything from the front cowl to the tank and tail section have been updated. Other than this, the new Honda Grom now features an updated full LED headlamp, LCD display and 12-inch wide tubeless tires which makes the Grom look much aggressive and sporty.

Well, the new bike is sort of different in a number of ways but this, in particular, will make you drool. Well, Honda Thailand is marketing the new bike with the slogan ” Mod it yourself” or “MIY” with “H2C” custom part kit.

With the H2C kit buyers get the chance to modify the Honda Grom to fit their taste. Well, looks like Honda did look up what Honda MSX/ Grom owners do with their bikes. This MIY H2C kit comes in 3 different options: Motard Monsters, Scrambler Rambler and Adventure Master.

The DIY kit also comes with a variety of helmets to choose from. A.P Honda announced the H2C kit can be bought directly from local Honda Wing centres nationwide.

Engine

So jumping into the performance department, the new Honda Grom features a powerful, fun and economical 125cc 4-stroke PGM-Fi engine [Performace data still pending].

Also, new for this generation; the new Honda Grom gets a 5-speed gearbox to offer the best performance on both roads and off-road. The muffler has a replaceable slip-on structure so aside from MIY-ing body panels; so you can play a bit more around the powertrain too.

Suspension and Brakes

In the case of the suspension; 31mm inverted fork up front and mono-shock at the rear takes care of the business. Braking duties are taken care by 2 pot calliper disc brake up front and single pot calliper disc brake at the rear. Also, there is a variant of this new Honda Grom which features ABS with G-sensor technology.

Price and Variants

So speaking of the variants, the ABS variant is offered only in grey-black. On the other hand, the standard version is offered in red-black, blue-black and black.

The price is known only for Thailand, the price for Europe is not yet known, the new Honda Grom will be going on sale for; 77,400 Thai baht (2470 $US) for the ABS variant and 69,900 baht (2230 $US) for the standard version starting October 2021.
