Honda has posted a teaser video for its upcoming, litre-class roadster motorcycle, the CB1000R. The latest iteration of the motorcycle will be unveiled on 10 November 2020. The teaser video gives a brief glimpse of the 2021 CB1000R, and the motorcycle will retain the Neo-Sport Café design from its predecessor.
While the 2021 model retains the overall silhouette, we could see a few tweaks on it. The headlight bezel, for example, appears to feature a slanted angle as compared to the outgoing version. The alloy wheels, too, get a new design. We may also see revised paint options on the 2021 CB1000R.
We do not expect to see drastic changes to the power and torque output numbers. The Euro4 model, for reference, used a 999cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder motor that produced 143bhp and 104Nm. The updated engine could deliver similar output numbers. The motor will continue to use a six-speed gearbox.
The hardware, too, is not likely to change much and we expect to see fully-adjustable inverted front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. Anchoring setup should include 310mm twin-discs at the front and a single 256mm rotor at the back.
