Photo and timeline overview

In July 2014, the so. I found a Yamaha XV750 from 1981 to Marketplace. Once the seller arrived it turned out that he was still a XV700 had for parts. This block had much less walked than the 750 so that I would go to work. Of course, is the monoshock frame of the XV750 nicer, so it was a combination of a 700cc engine in the 750 frame.

Blurry photo, but have no other of this situation. Engine in my relatively small garage. The can table is the most important together with some straps that I to the ceiling. Ready for stripping!

And that stripping is very easy and simple! Within 4 hours I was so done.

And was the XV700 turn...

From this block, I would go to work. This had a 20,000-km run.

In this project, I really have every part examined, if necessary, replaced or deep cleaned. The block had to be matte black, so I first let wetblasten at http://www.wetblast.nl/ Almere.

Many people have found it almost sin to the block still have to go spray. I think differently about. When Donna hears a matte black block with black cooling fins.

And after that spraying with heat resistant paint from VHT, everything was baked. So the keukenoven just believe...

So I had the block proposed. The good thing is, if you have such a project builds, it's exactly as you want it to be. Important detail is also that I have all the bolts have been replaced for new STAINLESS steel allen head ones. It's in the details that such a motor.

A large main breaker with a XV750 monoshocker is that the rear wheel offset in the bridge. The original gietwiel is no option to put in a Scrambler. There must be a wire-spoked wheel. Only a hub that fits on the cardanklok is almost untraceable. I have a wheel from a XV1000 found in Boonstraparts and have this at www.Startwin.nl in Loenen to make spokes. I have front and rear Excel rims purchased and for the rear we have the thickest spokes used in connection with the offset.

The tires also do a lot to the looks. I had the Michelin Anakee 2 for in mind. This I showed at http://www.afsmotorparts.nl/ in Purmerend mount.

In the background I thought with my good friend Joris (ingineur of appeal and at least as a motorcycle enthusiast as I am) after about the subframe. This drew we to the millimeter from then on www.rezelman-rvs.nl Alkmaar according to tekeninge.

And thus I could the last mock up before the exhaust custom made and everything to the poedercoater could for the final construction.

This was also at Rezelman was done on the basis of a by myself created photoshop.

Then everything to the poedercoater. This I do by Hamax http://www.hmax.nl/ in Hazerwoude-Dorp.

And to continue I really had the tank and the fender. After all, I wanted a 'bare bone' dradenschema ashore, but could do that only if I each time the tank could fit to determine where everything could come to lie. So, www.motopaints.nl in Assen was the lakgedeelte sure. Also on the basis of my own Photoshop.

Now, could the final built start!

14-05-2015 At this time, this is about the status. The exhaust still on, some details in terms of snakes, and gaskabelwerk. My aim is to be the engine even before the beginning of June to start. We will see. For this entire process is true that I am not rushed. If something takes longer than expected, then so be it. And job with so much work you need to not rush into things. Keep you posted and for daily updates see my Facebook page.25-05-2015 Morgen ga ik hem starten. Alle vloeistoffen, behalve benzine, zitten erin! Spannend hoor...
