Chasing bushrangers and guitars

Great overnighter last weekend with a great bunch of people. 1,200 kms of road heaven over the 2 days. Day 1 took us north on some amazing twisties I'd not ridden before up to Wauchope and then on to one of the best riding roads in Australia, the Oxley Highway. Oxley was bliss.. a mix of twisty heaven and fast flowing bends where I got to test out the suspension setup courtesy of the Shock Treatment guys. I couldn't believe the difference suspension tuning makes!! A quick regroup in Walcha before heading onto Tamworth in the dark for the night's lodgings.

The next day was another big day.. straight into some twisties up the mountain, onto Topdale Rd and then on Thunderbolts Way where my girl got to really stretch her legs. Arrived in Gloucester with a massive smile on my face.. there really is nothing like that Ducati sound and that feeling of being in full flight 😍

Lunch in Gloucester and then we were onto some really interesting and fun roads all the way through Dungog, Singleton and Wollombi. Arrived home exhilarated, exhausted and ready for a well deserved shower and a nice shiraz.

Now I'm dreaming of the next trip!

      • DucaGirl, thanks for that... had almost normal during Queens Birthday long weekend.
I took 4 days and rode Melbourne to Wagga Wagga to Canberra to Woomargama and back to Melbourne. was a great ride. Hadn't seen Canberra for 47 yrs so was nice to be back.

Hopefully by October we'll be free to move about again and we'll certainly put some more kms on the bike...
