I noticed my front brakes were mushy.

Upon inspection I found that both bolts holding the left caliper were gone and the caliper was just hanging there. I think I may have ridden that way for 100 miles.
As it was I was 80 miles to the closest town, 100 miles to the closest hardware store and 180 miles to the closest Suzuki dealer. (They said they could order the bolts and they would have them in a week)
So, I wrapped the caliper in a rag, zip tied it (with probably 10 zip ties) to the fork and ride to my destination.
I was able to find bolts that fit but were a little to long so used a couple of washers.
Used one grade 8 bolt on each side and the hardware type as the second one. Blue lock tight on all the bolts so should be dood for the next 600 miles or so.
So… you might want to check those bolts as it appears that there was never any lock right on them from the factory.
If that caliper had swung into the spokes it would have been disastrous.
Just a friendly tip guys
