Poultry in motion.

Poultry in motion 20-25 pounds to the face at 30 to 40 mph, lol. In retrospect, hitting me in the middle of the face was probably the best place of all. If it had hit me from the side or at either end of my handlebars, it would have probably caused me to swerve and crash. (In this case, a bird in the hand would have been worse than a bird in the face, lol). Also, the GoPro probably saved me from potential facial damage, since I was traveling with the face shield up.

  The rider behind me said the bird just went ‘poof’, and that feathers went everywhere, so I decided to go back and see what forensic evidence might be left.Five minutes and several cars later, there were still about 40 feathers in the road (not counting those stuck on my helmet), lol.  

No harm, no fowl.
