Pepo Rosell is a master “bike constructor”, and there is no difference between his Radical Ducati and the Regolarita Ducati Scrambler ICON.
Starting from the Scrambler Icon, the idea was to develop an offroad bike, which will be able to cope with a wide range of duties. Due to its owner purposes, it was a great little commuter every day, for others it was an incredible tribute to the class of old.
It means, that the Scrambler was designed with an aim to build a simple and accessible motorcycle. Also it will be customized a lot. There have been a huge number of SCRAMBLER customs in the market. But this outstanding Regolarita Ducati Scrambler ICON by XTR Pepo succeeded in setting off among all of those models.
REGOLARITA is an Italian word that means regularity. But if you take a look at this motorcycle, you’ll find out, that there is no regular feature in Regolarita Ducati Scrambler ICON by XTR Pepo. The creator of this unique bike is Pepo Rosell, and people, who can be named as his fans, won’t expect him to build an ordinary commuter. And you can be sure, since the Radical Ducati days Pepo Rosell has only improved his skills.
After closing his shop in 2014, he returned to open XTR Pepo. Now the master is back with another Ducati, ordered by Ducati Spain, and its donor bike is a 2016 Ducati Scrambler Icon.
The whole design is focused towards the fuel tank with several mods in order to adapt the lower part of the original tank and an Ossa Enduro seat. Regolarita Ducati Scrambler ICON by XTR Pepo was modified by OEM frame, cutting entirely rear frame and making a new subframe. A modified swingarm from Ducati Sport Classic is improved by detachable cantilever with a cantilever shock system conversion.
Further you’ll find a great amount of other advanced features, which transformed a stock bike into an incredible work of art. Let’s name these extensive modifications:
- OEM footrest support modified for solo use;
- Scrambler classic modified rear and front brushed alluminium mudguards as in the 60´s;
- Tsubaki gold chain;
- XTR front light and clock bracket;
- XTR led blinkers all around along with a XTR Pepo registration number plate holder;
- New Super Mario exhaust system was fitted and paired with a silencer by Termignoni.
The bike constructor kept OEM Scrambler dashboard and mixed it by adding a Mash 500 Scrambler front light with grid. A rear iconic “Lucas” and the rims are substituted for spoke Scrambler classic ones to give more of an off-road look. Also OEM brake system was kept due to its decent work. The ABS box was removed with new Frentubo brake lines. An instant eye grubber among handle bars became a Monster 1200 stock conical unit with Rizoma tall handlebar supports and Domino grips.
The next advanced features of the Regolarita Ducati Scrambler ICON build are connected with Vicma CNC machined mirror, Ducati De Luxe 250 (1962) modified fuel tank for mount Scrambler OEM fuel pump and gas cap and LIPO Battery. These innovations led to relocating of the whole ECU wiring harness as well as removing of the airbox. It should be mentioned, the new ECU system was converted for the sport mode. A new shorter seat from a 1970 Ossa Enduro 250 was used.
The finishing touches to this Regolarita Ducati Scrambler ICON were in the form of the captivating paint job, made by Pintumoto and Artenruta and these outstanding photographs by Cesar Godoy for XTR Pepo.
