American manufacturer Harley-Davidson continues to register new names for future motorcycles. We recently wrote about the registration of the trademark "Harley-Davidson Bronx". The manufacturer has applied for two: "48X" and "Pan America".5306225a3d029345e89.jpgIn contrast to the "Bronx" and "Harley-Davidson Bronx" new trademarks filed in the USPTO, but only in the European service for the protection of intellectual property rights, i.e. application for the registration of "48X" and "Pan America" filed in EUIPO with a note that they will apply "for motorcycles and structural components of these motorcycles."

Reformed organization EUIPO now does not indicate the company name, so no one can say for sure that Harley-Davidson register these trademarks. There is circumstantial evidence:

1. 48X — a logical name for the new motorcycle H-D by analogy with the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight.
2. The other important fact. Law firm Mathys Squire LLP filed an application for registration. Firm located in the UK and specializiruetsya on the intellectual property laws. Since April 1996, it deals with the registration of all trademarks of H-D in the EU. Since then, the American manufacturer has registered a 193 trade marks in Europe.
