Yamaha Motor company is working towards producing more leaning three-wheelers. The Japanese manufacturer has already released Yamaha Tricity and Yamaha Niken, but is not going to stop and will continue to develop a line of tricycles. Yamaha boss Yoshihiro Hidaka has confirmed that in the near future, the company may release a third model.
Yoshihiro hinted that the new model would be something middle between Tricity and Niken.
“Since the launch of the Tricity commuter in 2014, we continue to explore and develop the technology. At the previous Tokyo Motor Show, we have presented large size sports model Niken, which will be launched in the market this year,” - Hidaka said. – “Not just limited to these two models, we will be expanding the customer base with new values of LMW."
Do not forget that the LMW technology is not limited to three wheels, so Yamaha may well release a four-wheel model similar to Yamaha MWC 4 concept.
But the main point is that the manufacturer pays much attention to the LMW program, research and development of technology.
