The Lightning Motorcycles has announced a new model, called the Lightning Strike, which, unlike theLS-218 model, will reach a wider audience. Basically, the manufacturer is geared towards the masses.

Price is the most important thing for a mass-market product. The Lightning Strikewill cost $ 12,998 (in the USA), which is an excellent price tag as compared with the Zero SR ($ 16,495) and, especially, the LS-218 ($ 38,888).Unfortunately, there is not much information yet. Currently, it is known that the electric bike will have 240 km of range, a 240km/h top speed and a 35-minute DC charge.

In a simple teaser image,a pair of sharply angled and sporty LED headlights is visible, very similar to the Ducati 1198. We can also assume that the Strike will have a full fairing.

We’ll have to wait for the official Strike unveiling in March to get the full details.
