For many decades BMW GS motorcycles have dominated on the market of adventure bikes. Bavarian manufacturer has taken a strong position in this segment.Five years ago,the Berlin production line rolled off the 500,000th GS – we aren’t too far from the million mark. There are not too many GS customs, though. The bikes are often associated with functionality and practicality than beauty and aesthetics. This project belongs to Gregor Halenda from Portland, Oregon.
“Aside from the custom tanks, the overall bike condition was horrible,” says Gregor.“The bike burned almost a liter of oil every 100 miles. It was down on power, and it wouldn’t run in the mornings. I don’t know why the engine was in such bad shape. Maybe the previous owner didn’t take care of it.”
