The big event of classic racing motorcycles in Saxony, Germany, at the Sachsenring track, which was canceled in previous years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, returns this year and marks its 95th anniversary.
This is a special event for classic motorcycles, a historical event, after you just five years mark a century since it was first organized. So, the Sachsenring will welcome all kinds of classic motorcycles and cars for this year’s event.
Preparations are underway as event organizers do everything they can to ensure that the 95th year of the track it will be so majestic as much as it deserves.
The organizers have already published the highlights of the event, which will include an exhibition of unique motorcycles of great historical value. The list of VIP guests will include two former Grand Prix contestants, Kevin Schwantz and Freddie Spencer, who will attend the event.
Schwantz and Spencer will participate in the Sachsenring Classic that will take place in mid-July of this year.
Spencer was done the youngest rider in history to ever win a World Speed Championship, at just 21 years old and wrote another big page in the World Games when became a two-time World Champion in the 250cc and 500cc categories, in the same year, in 1985.
Similarly, Schwantz won his only World Cup in 1993 with Suzuki (with whom he has worked since 1986), but was one of the most popular champions of all times, thanks to its driving style enclosed in the phrase “all or nothing”!
These two great riders will do demonstration rounds on the track to participate in the category of “Sachsenring legends” According to the official website of the event, there will be others known and legendary competitors who will make surprise appearances.
The Sachsenring Classic will take place from 15 to 17 July& of 2022.
